Product Overview
Biodegradable Flexible Cement Restrictor:
The CEMSTOP® biodegradable flexible diaphyseal restrictor is used to restrict the medullary cavity before introducing acrylic cement. Its ergonomic flanges restrict passage of cement into the diaphysis, making it easier to pressurise the diaphysis and providing excellent protection to the intramedullary tissue.
Each CEMSTOP® restrictor is supplied in sterile double wrapping and is available in the following 6 sizes: 8 – 10 – 12 – 14 – 16 – 18. Each size is the diameter of the medullary canal to be plugged. A size 10 restrictor therefore effective restricts a medullary cavity of diameter 10.
ADVANTAGES:
• Resorbable
• Flexible
• Biocompatible
• Simplified revision procedure
• Flexible material, fits the diaphysis perfectly
INDICATIONS:
CEMSTOP® is a diaphyseal restrictor used to restrict the medullary cavity before introducing acrylic cement during total hip arthroplasty. CEMSTOP® prevents cement from flowing into the diaphysis, so making it easier to pressurise.
PROPERTIES:
CEMSTOP® has of components complying with European Pharmacopoeia monographs.
PROPERTIES
