Touching Hands Webinar: Correction of Burn Contracture – Practical Tips to Make it Work in Less than Ideal Conditions

8 surgeons from 4 countries will present very practical details of how to be successful at preventing and correcting burn contractures of the hand and upper extremity. The goal is for surgeons all over the world to be able to comfortably perform common reconstructions for these problems. Tips on success with grafts and flaps will be helpful for all attendees who look after burn problems in developing countries.

OBJECTIVES
At the conclusion of this program, the attendee will:

Use local flaps to successfully reconstruct common burn contractures
Achieve optimal outcomes with skin grafting after burn scar release
Understand when and how to use flaps vs grafts in managing burn contractures

Musculoskeletal Ultrasound of the Shoulder, Hip and Spine Training Course

Musculoskeletal Ultrasound of the Shoulder, Hip and Spine Training Course will provide hands-on training in musculoskeletal ultrasound (MSKUS) of the hip, sacroiliac joint and shoulder. The objective of the course is to enable participants to use MSKUS as a point-of care imaging tool to assist with the diagnosis of painful joint. Leading MSK ultrasound experts will cover ultrasound scanning techniques, sonoanatomy, and sonopathology, including MSKUS examination of hemophilic these groups of joints. Diagnosis of iliopsoas bleeds and trochanteric pain will be highlighted.

Format: Interactive lectures, case presentations, round table discussions, and hands-on scanning.

The course is limited to 20 participants.
