VIVOSORB is a flexible bioresorbable polymer film designed to separate opposing tissues throughout the critical healing process, minimizing undesired tissue attachments. The flexibility of the product facilitates positioning during surgery.
• PLC provides safe resorption and metabolization with minimal risk of inflammatory reaction
• Maintains physical barrier between opposing sift tissue
• Retains tensile strength up to 10 weeks: tissue separation during the critical wound healing period
• Transparency allows for constant visualization of the entire surgical field
• Anchorage with sutures, clips, or surgical tacks prevents migration of the device from the desired area of protection
As a solid sheet, VIVOSORB is not susceptible to the undesirable clinical manifestations associated with gelatinous and collagenous products like excessive granulation formation.
