2.7 mm and 3.5 mm variable angle hexalobe screws are intended for use in all locking holes. The threaded spherical head shape facilitates angling of the screw up to 15 degrees off axis in any direction.
Variable angle allows for targeting of the screw to avoid other implants, accommodation of varying patient anatomies, and positioning of the screw to avoid joint spaces and capture the best quality bone, especially in patients with osteopenic bone.
The 2.7 mm and 3.5 mm variable angle hexalobe screws are made of cobalt chrome and are available in lengths from 10 mm to 65 mm. (https://www.acumed.net/)
