The Meniscal Dart™ Repair System has a semi flexible, amorphous Poly L/D-lactide Acid (PLDLA) dart that more naturally adapts to the dynamic properties of the meniscus. This helps to reduce implant breakage and migration and to protect surrounding hyaline cartilage surfaces after implantation. The implant is absorbed completely within 36 weeks, long after primary healing of the meniscus has occurred.
